I’m a big growth nerd and perpetual learner. I love combining deep theory with effective practical strategies. We can’t analyze our way out of suffering or pain, but often with the right questions, prompts, and practices, we can made massive strides. As a trauma survivor, healer, and someone who has held many roles within and outside the mental health system over the last decade, I have a big stash of tools to share.
Below you will find two of my favorite tangible healing practices.
Holotropic Breathwork Practice for Emotional Release & Trauma Healing (video practice)
Reclaiming all Parts of You: Healing the Roots of Shame and Insecurity (workbook and meditation)

Breathwork is a healing modality that uses simple controlled breath patterns to take you into a deep state of consciousness where emotional healing can be more easily accessed. It works by helping you bypass the conscious mind and move into the subtle body to access the deeper layers of emotion, while gently supporting the nervous system.
Benefits of Breathwork:
A simple way to experience emotional release and relief
Healing and support with depression, anxiety, guilt, shame, grief, heartache, and other intense emotions
Trauma processing and release
Deep catharsis (the feeling you get after the best cry you’ve ever had) that leaves you renewed and refreshed
Clearing of energetic and emotional residue
Feelings of clarity, awareness, and inner knowing
Increased energy and emotional freedom
Intuitive messages about your life, work, purpose, and needs
Bypassing the conscious mind and breaking through old patterns, habits and cycles
This video is a short introduction to breathwork showing you how and why it works. It gives you a strategy for anytime you may feel emotional intensity. My clients use this video in between sessions on repeat. I hope you love it too!
Shame can be a root of many other emotions like fear, anger, or depression. Shame can trigger inaction and destroy confidence, but working with it can lead to a much stronger sense of self. My hope for you is that you use instances where shame arises to go deeper and meet it with grace and compassion. Easier said than done, though. So what can we do in these moments when shame and self-doubt arise?
