Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

I started the Depth Work: A Holistic Mental Health Podcast a few years ago to interview and connect with some of the most innovative thinkers and leaders in the mental health space. I also share intimate parts of my own journey healing from complex trauma and working within and outside the mental health system. You can read more about me and my work in mental health here.

On Depth Work we love big questions with no easy answers, interdisciplinary work, and building bridges. My hope is that you’ll find something that piques your curiosity here, whether it’s practical tools, existential and spiritual themes, academic research, critical analysis, holistic tools, or challenging traditional psychiatric systems.

Top 10 Depth Work Episodes of all time:

  1. Holotropic Breathwork for Emotional Release and Trauma Integration

  2. Healing Childhood Sexual Abuse and Complex Trauma

  3. Redefining “Crazy” & the Initiation Process with Swaziland Healer Thabiso Mthimkhulu

  4. Indigenous Holistic Psychologies and Ancestral Wisdom with Elmina Bell

  5. Honoring Anger and Rage

  6. The Root Causes of ‘Psychosis’: Mental health Crisis as an Opportunity for Healing

  7. Inner Child Work: Foundational Principles and Practices

  8. The Fertile Void: Navigating Confusion, Lostness & Emptiness

  9. A Candid Conversation On Childhood Sexual Abuse: Radical Self-Responsibility & Kink with Jagger Waters

  10. The Somatics of Trauma with Luis Mojica

Bonus Episodes for the Depth Workers!

Since 2022, I’ve started creating bonus episodes and content for folks who want to go deeper (pun intended). I keep most of Depth Work free, but I paywall certain content that’s a bit more intimate (such as personal stories) or time-consuming (such as research deep dives) so I can keep this work sustainable in the long run. I’m grateful you’re here whether you’re a subscriber of paid or free content. I’m also always open to suggestions for themes, topics, questions, or people you want to see on the podcast.

You can head to the podcast tab to see all bonus podcast episodes with a private rss feed so you can listen on any platform you like. In the archive there are also paid-susbscriber only essays and resources you can browse.

with love,

Jazmine
